10 Things About Me.

I've been tagged by Chloé from La Bohème!!! Thanks so much dear :))) Here are the guidelines for tagging:

Ohkeydokies, so here we go~~ :D

1. I am currently 16 years old, soon-to-be 17 in December (**crosses fingers & hopes to pass road test for license**).

2. I have an inexplicable love for all things related to Haute Couture (the true couture, not "Juicy Couture"). It's my secret wish to work in the couture industry one day, even though I know it's a "dying art" and will probably take me a long time to build up necessary experience.

3. I love to eat chocolate; it's my favourite food, and in fact, my religion is called Chocolatism.

4. Currently, I'm hating on junior year, but I know that I'm going to have to buckle down and get through this year, because SENIOR YEAR will be amazing :) Oh, and getting through this year = getting closer & closer to college/freedom!!! Which, bytheway, I'm going to major in Fashion Design (in case you dolls didn't know ;)

5. The only problem about buckling down and getting through junior year is that I'm such a big procrastinator. Seriously, it's the only thing I'm currently professional at xD For examplesies, right now I should be reading Thoreau's Walden & studying for that Chem test Tuesday, but THAT'S OHKAY, because I want to share 10 Things About Me with you all ;)))

6. I have never gotten a cavity before in my life. Really, it's like my teeth are naturally un-rottable. It must be all the chocolate I consume (~loll, & watch me get a cavity right after this post publishes x). This is so random lmaolmao.

7. John Galliano is absolutely my favourite designer/person/astronaut-idol of all time, HE'S MY HEROOO!!! Everything he does, from helming Dior's Haute Couture collections to his fabulous namesake line, everything just oozes with creativity and fashion gorgeoussness!!!! One of my goals in life is to play dress-up with him at the Dior headquarters on Avenue Montaigne.

8. I adore Europe, I really do. I mean, New York is abs great & all, but when compared to the irresistable European flair of Paris or London, I'm a sucker for that chicness. That's why I want to learn French (can't switch out of Spanish right now after taking it all throughout my school career... darnnn) and live in Paris+London one day!!! I already know for sure that I'll be the first person applying for the Study Abroad option in college ;)

9. I'm an ardent Kpop fan. SHINee is my liffeeeee!!! 제발 가지 마요 - 샤이니 ♥ (current song I'm obsessing about ;) I regularly stalk OmonaTheyDidn't & I can spend a whole day Youtube, watching live performances & whatnot, downloading music from Jenpoo. Kpop is truly a gorgeous thing in my life. (PS: BEG's Abracadabra dance is the BEST dance ever, if only I didn't have so much stomach flab, I'd learn it in a heartbeat). Bytheway, I'm Taiwanese, so I would dearly like to learn Korean as well.

10. I'M SO DARN HAPPY IT'S PARIS FASHION WEEK RIGHT NOW YAAAAYYY WHOOOHOOOO!!!! Loll, I'm fine, it's just overexcitement for the Spring/Summer 2010 season ;D

What A Glorious Day.

Hi lovelies, yours truly has lots of great news to report today! First off, today was the Opening Day at FIT Summer Live Program, and it was so fabulous!!! I'm back at it after experiencing a fun Spring semester class, & now I've signed up for two classes this summer. Just commuting into the city with my friends, walking around full-swing summer New York and eying the chic street fashion (Mr. Sartorialist style of course ;) of fellow students around the school was exhilarating. I'm looking forward to working hard over the next 3 weeks & meeting the delicious fashion challenges of my courses.

What's the second most important (actually, this should rank first) news of the day? PARIS COUTURE WEEK of course!!! How I just wish wish wish, I could be in the city of love right now, attending all these three days of beautiful shows. Christian Dior has been uploaded on Style.com already, & my dear hero John Galliano has turned 20 Avenue Montaigne into a fierce, sexy & gorgeous House de Lingerie-Couture!!! :D Check it out dears, & you'll know what I mean ;)

I hope everyone has been doing well so far this summer, & I promise to blog soon with a special feature collage on the Menswear Spring 2010 shows that took place in Milan & Paris about 1-2 weeks ago. My apologies for such a long rambling essay-post, but I just felt the need for a late night confessional to my dear fashion diary ;) Bisoubisous darlings.

One of the most well-known child prodigy turned pop culture icons in the world, Michael Jackson has influenced over 4 decades of music, fashion, and popular culture. A man who inspired the fashion world as much as the music industry, the "King of Pop" will definitely be remembered!!! :'(

~His fabulous jewel-encrusted sparkly gloves & statement jackets made up his eccentric yet uniquely admirable style.

~Couple dressing with Madonna at the 1991 Oscars. Any man brave & courageous enough to coordinate-dress with Madonna on the red carpet has my respect.

FINALS ARE OVER, FINALS ARE OVER, FINALS ARE OVERRR!!! :)

It's official. We're over. OVER. overrrr. Finals & I are over, that is ;) I'm officially proclaiming today the first day of summer vacation (even though there's still two more days left of school, but oh who cares). I'm so happy to be done with my exams, now I can come back to beautiful bloggyworld again!!!

Anyways, while I've been sitting stupendously (ha, I believe that's an SAT word) in the classroom, toiling over my tests, those gorgeous boys off in Milan are strutting their stuff for Menswear Fashion Week SS 2010. I'm also going through the lovely task of viewing the Resort 2010 collections on Style.com now, & I must say, I'm quite impressed!!! Although it may be the most bourgeois season of fashion, designers do have to acknowledge it's one of the key selling points of their line.

Chanel was absolutely wonderfully themed as usual, staged in lovely Venice. Dior was delicious, I could barely contain myself not to drool over those classic feminine pieces. Most important of all however, was Phoebe Philo's return into the fashion world with the house of Celine. If I may say so myself, she hit the collection quite literally spot on. Quite fantastical.

Now, all I'm doing is eagerly, fanatically, lovingly awaiting the love of my life: Paris Couture Week. Mark your calendars dolls - July 6-9, 2009!!! :)

New Flats, New Love.

I believe I have found my new love for the summer dears!!! Enter.... *drumroll please*... flat lace-ups. Personally, I've never really tried the boy-meets-girl look before, but with these adorable Oxfords lace-ups, I can totally imagine myself wearing them paired with a really feminine dress piece. How utterly summerlicious city-chic ;)

These oxfords, spectators, and boots that I picked out are all from California shoe designer George Esquivel who showed the above collection to the editors at Vogue. (Needless to say, he left many of them head-over-heels ;) My own personal favorite is the Juliana (a spectator in brown and purple below).

~This Davis brown hand-burnished (above) Oxford can be paired with navy high-waisted button shorts and cream ruffle top yes?

~Wear with colour-popping jeans and blazer maybe? (Vanas & Parliament green-brown hand-burnished above).

Tomorrow Is Friday.

Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday & Memorial Day weekend is right around the corner. I've been pretty upset these past few days because of a friend's mum really recent passing away. I truly hope she is well and enjoying heaven now that she has left us. Rest In Peace 阿姨，you will be missed!!! I wish the best of everything for her family members and my prayers are with them. I feel as if life is so fragile and we don't really appreciate it until it is gone... sorry my loves, for writing such a sad post, but the truth is, I am incredibly saddened by this lost of life right now.

Ta-da!!! The new Paule Marrot Skinny Dunk from Nike Sportswear has officially gone on my new-shoe wishlist!!! Now, I'm usually a "drool-over-those-Loubies/Manolos" girl, and it's pretty rare for me to venture into the world of sneakeroos ;) However, these are just so cute and girly that I can imagine pairing them with any outfit possible!!!

Vogue UK says they are "Based on the original 1985 basketball court design, not only is it super-cool but in a shade of retro pink, it's super-cute too."

Semaine de la Mode à Paris!!!

It's blowing my mind away, absolutely blowing me away!!! Paris Paris Paris, Je t'aime!!! ♥

This whole week, I've been staring at Vogue.fr & Vogue.co.uk, looking at stunning show after show. From Karl Lagerfeld's cutest-ever gift bags, Balmain's return of sexy rocker shoulders, to Nicolas Ghesquière's beautiful Balenciaga girl dresses, I've been most avidly following Paris Fashion Week.

Oh how I wish I was in the city right now, able to attend those shows. I just looove the wispy-hair look and of course the details, at Louis Vuitton, and I'm cheering right now, because the Chloé girl has been brough back by Hannah MacGibbon!!! :) Coco Rocha's runway fight at JPG's was classic girlpower, not to mention Stefano Pilati's chic-excellent collection for YSL. Oh oh oh, and my personal favorite John Galliano once again came through with gorgeous RTW for Christian Dior, and his own namesake label showed yesterday as well :D

The weekend looms near, but I'm so sad that Paris FW is drawing to an close though, because I could seriously live on Paris fashion forever!!! Hope you all are having as much fun as I am, following the shows!!!

Hello, My Loves :)

Hiiii darlings!!!! I'm sure by now you've all thought that I've vanished off the face of Earth forever non? Well, not exactly. I must apologize for leaving off about a thousand months ago in the middle of blogging about Paris Fashion Week. I must also apologize for being possibly the worst blogger on Earth ever. Both of the answers to these problems? School caught up with me. (Yes dears, that's right. LuLu, the fashion fanatic girl, is not perfect, and so therefore has to put effort into schoolwork in order to keep up good grades. Urgh, how I abhor tests, quizzes, and exams of all kinds!!!)

Anyways, I would like to thank you lovely people so much for continuing to browse through my older posts while I haven't been posting, and also thank you for the very kind, heart-warming messages you've all sent me to see how I was. My regrets to you all that I did not even have the time to reply them!!!

Now, you're probably all wondering why I've re-started blogging now of all times, and I can only say that I don't know either, it must be because I miss doing this too much!!! So, my goal for the rest of the school year is to post whenever I can, feel like it, or have the time. I'll definitely have more time in the summer (hourra pour l'été!), so we'll just see how things turn out to be shall we? Thank you so much for your support once again, and yaaay for the ongoing Paris Fashion Week F/W 09-10!!!

Milan Fashion Week SS09 - Day 2.

While I was writing about missing Snejana on the runway this season in my last post, she was coincidentally making a reappearance on the Missoni and D&G Milan shows yesterday!!! I've also spied Vlada and Magdalena walking in many shows, so model-wise, I'm happy now :) In my opinion, Milan has really picked up and refreshed this SS09 season because everything is so beautiful coming out of there!!!

Milan Fashion Week SS09 - Day 1!!!

Yaay!!! Milan Fashion Week is officially in motion, and everything is already as gorgeous as can be!!! Many of the fashion world's big designer names are popping up everywhere, and I'll be busy as a bee following the shows and clipping them by the hundreds to Polyvore. Giorgio Armani turned out a whopping 100 look show for his Emporio Armani line yesterday, and so far Gianfranco Ferré has my vote because well, take a look at his show and you'll know what I mean ;)

But, I think the best news of all is that TANYA'S BACK!!!! :D I'm sooo happy to see my favorite model back on the runway, closing the Moschino Cheap & Chic show yesterday!!! I have to admit I was getting quite worried when the season started and I didn't see her much at all. Also, where in the world is Snejana? I'm so sad to have only seen her in a sprinkling of the New York shows, and then not in the next week!!! I hope these two girls will be back on the runway soon!!! (I'm pretty biased when it comes to my favorite models ;)

London Fashion Week SS09 - Day 5.

Wow, London FW was over soo fast it hardly seems to be real. Like always, those top designers over the pond seem to spout pure genius designs!!!
